Official: Azerbaijan hopes Armenia to be held accountable soon
The genocide of Azerbaijanis in 1918, the Khojaly genocide, the Bashlybel tragedy, etc. - all this is perceived as an indicator of the ideological line of control of the military-political leadership of Armenia.
The remarks came from Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Official Javid Musayev at the ceremony to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attacks in Ganja with the participation of representatives of the diplomatic corps, APA reports.
Javid Musayev noted that as a result of rocket attacks from Armenia, about 100 civilians were killed and about 500 civilians were injured:
“The military-political leadership of Armenia lives with this stigma. For them, it is a moral responsibility. We very much hope that this moral responsibility will soon be replaced by legal responsibility. Azerbaijan has never struck civilians. The Azerbaijani state responded on the battlefield to the war crimes committed by the military-political leadership of Armenia.”
Javid Musayev recalled that from the first days of the war, the Armenian side resorted to disinformation to hide its provocations and war crimes: “The Azerbaijani state waged war on the battlefield, and at the same time was forced to wage war with very large fake news. Azerbaijan has opened its doors to the whole world, including the international media, to prevent the lies of Armenia. The next morning after the shelling of Ganja and Barda, trips of all ambassadors accredited in Azerbaijan to the incident location were organized. The Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and the Prosecutor General participated in this trips. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry organized a trip of hundreds of representatives of foreign media and bloggers to the incident location."
