OIC Youth Capital international programme kicks off in Shusha PHOTO

The international programme "Shusha - OIC Youth Capital 2024", implemented in cooperation with the Youth Forum of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, has been launched.

The OIC Youth Forum chooses one of the cities in the member countries as the Youth Capital every year and organises international events in that city throughout the year to enhance the skills of young people who play an important role in the development of the countries, Report informs.

The event is attended by officials, delegations from the OIC Youth Forum, member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, representatives of institutions and organisations, and more than 150 young people from 36 countries.

At the 11th meeting of the Executive Council of the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in autumn 2023 in Türkiye’s capital Istanbul, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan - the city of Shusha was unanimously chosen as the 10th host of the International Programme of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation "Youth Capital 2024".
