Oman’s FM: US-Iran talks reveal shared aspiration for agreement based on mutual respect
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi has announced that negotiations will continue next week, with a high-level meeting scheduled for May 3, as discussions revealed a shared aspiration for an agreement grounded in mutual respect and enduring commitments.
“US Iran talks today identified a shared aspiration to reach agreement based on mutual respect and enduring commitments. Core principles, objectives and technical concerns were all addressed. Talks will continue next week with a further high level meeting provisionally scheduled,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the message of Al-Busaidi, who acted as a mediator in the US-Iran talks, on X.
The third round of dialogue between the US and Iran concluded in Muscat on April 26. Alongside high-level political talks, technical consultations were held in the Omani capital, where experts discussed the details of a potential agreement concerning Iran's nuclear programme.
