Over 26,000 Ukrainian troops trained in Germany under EU military mission
Since mid-2022, approximately 26,000 Ukrainian servicemen have completed training in Germany within the framework of the European Union Military Assistance Mission (EUMAM Ukraine), according to Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The training has been coordinated by the Multinational Special Training Command and conducted across more than 50 facilities throughout Germany. The programme encompasses a broad spectrum of military disciplines, including basic training, battlefield tactics, combat medicine, demining operations, logistics, and communications, Caliber.Az reports.
Instruction has been delivered by Bundeswehr personnel alongside military experts from partner nations. Notably, about one-third of the command staff consists of service members from 13 different countries, highlighting the multinational scope of the initiative.
Ukrainian officials emphasized that the training curriculum is continuously updated to reflect real-world combat experience. Recent adaptations have placed increased focus on drone operations, modern tactical procedures, and the maintenance of equipment under wartime conditions.
