Poland remains key training hub for Ukrainian troops under EU mission Photo
Poland continues to play a central role in training personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.
At training grounds across Poland, successive groups of Ukrainian soldiers are undergoing instruction led by international trainers from the Combined Arms Training Command. The programme is part of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Ukraine, an initiative designed to strengthen Ukraine’s military capabilities amid the ongoing war, Caliber.Az reports.
The training is coordinated by the 11th Lubusz Armored Cavalry Division, named after King Jan III Sobieski. It focuses on small arms proficiency and tactical exercises, drawing on lessons from modern combat operations.
Ukrainian officials say the programme is making a tangible difference, improving the effectiveness and readiness of troops on a daily basis. They add that continued international support remains crucial in bolstering Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
