President Aliyev: At least three GW of additional transmission capacity should be created for first phase of Azerbaijani export
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that at least three GW of additional transmission capacity should be created for the first phase of Azerbaijan's electricity exports.
President Aliyev made the remarks at a plenary meeting in Bucharest on December 17 in connection with the signing ceremony of the "Agreement on strategic partnership in development and supply of green energy among the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary", according to Azertag.
“The Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy signed a framework agreement with a global energy company two days ago. This company plans to invest in the creation of capacity in Azerbaijan for the production of up to 12 GW of wind and solar energy. Thus, at least three GW of additional transmission capacity should be created for the first phase of Azerbaijani export,” the president said.
