President Ilham Aliyev receives UAE business delegation PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of businessmen from the United Arab Emirates led by Syed Basar Shueb, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of International Holding Company, on May 29.

During the meeting, it was noted that relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE are expanding across various sectors, including economic and trade cooperation. The significance of President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the United Arab Emirates and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Azerbaijan for the development  of bilateral ties was emphasised, Caliber.Az reports via the president's official website.

The sides highlighted the favourable business and investment environment in Azerbaijan for both local and foreign entrepreneurs. Satisfaction was expressed regarding the investments of UAE companies in different sectors in Azerbaijan.

It was expressed with hope that the visit of the delegation of businessmen from the United Arab Emirates to Baku would be productive and yield positive results.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for cooperation in areas such as investment, industry, including the mining industry, and other sectors.
