Quake measuring 5 hits western Türkiye

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit western Türkiye on August 14.

The earthquake epicentre was 13 kilometres northwest of Kusadasi city with a population of about 63,000 people, APA reports referring to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The hypocentre of the earthquake was at a depth of eight kilometres.

There is no information about damage or casualties.
