Report: Nearly 200 fuel stations destroyed in Ukraine since May
Nearly 200 fuel stations have been destroyed across Ukraine since early May, according to data cited by TASS from Ukrainian regional authorities, highlighting sustained damage to the country’s energy infrastructure.
More than 150 petrol stations had been reported destroyed by the end of June, the agency said. Between July 1 and July 10, at least a further 43 stations were either damaged or completely burned in multiple regions, based on official statements.
Local authorities in several cases did not disclose the exact number of affected sites following reports of explosions, suggesting the overall toll could be higher than reported.
The heaviest losses appear to have been concentrated in the Kharkiv region, where at least 10 petrol stations were destroyed during the first week of July alone. Detailed nationwide data remains limited, as regional administrations typically report isolated incidents rather than comprehensive summaries.
The reported destruction follows large-scale strikes on Ukraine’s fuel infrastructure carried out by Russian forces in late June.
