Russia accuses West of using Armenia for hybrid warfare
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin has accused Western powers of viewing Armenia as a tool for conducting hybrid warfare against Russia and destabilizing the South Caucasus region as he was interviewed by Komsomolskaya Pravda.
Galuzin asserted that Western capitals are strategically leveraging Armenia as a "bridgehead" to create additional sources of tension in the region. He claimed that the West is pressuring Yerevan to sever ties with Moscow and withdraw from Russian-led integration associations, disregarding the potential socio-economic repercussions and security implications for Armenia.
"Despite Moscow's repeated efforts to engage in dialogue and address mutual concerns, we have not received substantive responses to our initiatives from Yerevan," Galuzin emphasized. He urged Armenian leadership to prioritize relations with Russia, emphasizing their critical role in safeguarding Armenia's sovereignty, security, and economic development.
