The former Ukrainian Eurovision winner Susana Jamaladinova has been placed on the wanted list of Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As reported by Mediazona, the singer, known professionally as Jamala, the ministry accuses her of discrediting Moscow's army. The decision to put her on the list was made in October, following which she was arrested in absentia by a Russian court.
The artist is a vocal critic of Russia's occupation of Crimea, her home place and the subsequent military offensive on Ukraine.
In 2016 she won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "1944," which addresses the deportation and ethnic cleansing of around 200,000 Crimean Tatars by Soviet authorities in May 1944.
