Russia advises citizens against travel to Israel amid regional tensions
Russia's embassy in Israel has advised Russian citizens to avoid traveling to the country as security conditions deteriorate amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
In a statement issued by its press service, the embassy in Tel Aviv urged Russians to postpone visits to Israel until the situation becomes clearer, citing the worsening security environment both within Israel and across the region, Caliber.Az reports.
Russian nationals currently in Israel were advised to remain calm, stay vigilant, and strictly follow instructions issued by Israeli authorities. The embassy recommended that citizens remain close to designated shelters and avoid leaving safe locations during security alerts until official clearance is given.
The diplomatic mission said it was closely monitoring developments and maintaining contact with Israeli authorities. According to the embassy, it has not received any information indicating that Russian citizens were injured or otherwise affected by recent rocket attacks targeting Israeli territory.
The embassy also noted that, based on available information, Ben Gurion Airport continues to operate normally, with civilian flights arriving and departing as scheduled.
Russian officials urged citizens to follow updates published through the embassy's official communication channels, citing the highly volatile military and political situation in the region.
The embassy added that its consular section remains fully operational and that there are currently no plans to limit consular services.
