Russia, Belarus sign seven agreements to deepen Union State integration
Russia and Belarus have signed seven agreements following a session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, underscoring the two countries’ ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral integration.
Among the signed documents are the USC Supreme State Council directive “On Mutual Support and Cooperation in the Field of International Justice,” the resolution “On the Creation of a Committee on Standardisation and Quality of the Union State,” and the resolution “On Awarding Union State Prizes in Literature and Art for 2025–2026,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the Kremlin’s official website.
Additionally, a decree was signed to organise and develop cross-border suburban passenger rail services between the border regions of the two countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the process of deepening integration between Russia and Belarus is developing naturally and brings mutual benefits to both countries. He noted that, through coordinated efforts, the two nations have already achieved significant progress in the development of the Union State, adding that citizens of both Russia and Belarus enjoy equal rights in all areas of life.
Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov emphasised that joint and investment projects are central to integration within the Union State. He noted that Russia and Belarus share many points of contact and areas of mutual interest, which is why the countries are adjusting plans and setting new objectives.
