Russia blocks over 3,000 websites due to military censorship Report by "Roskomsvoboda"
Russia has blocked access to more than three thousand Internet resources, since the beginning of a war, according to the human rights project Roskomsvoboda.
Social networks, news outlets, the websites of public organizations and shopping malls are among them.
The main initiator of the blocking was the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
"Roskomsvoboda" notes that some unexpected sites, such as an online store for children's car seats or e-mail testing service have been also blocked, in addition to the blocking of news outlets, social networks and public resources. However, the reason for the blocking is the same - the publication of anti-war or critical statements related to Russia.
It should be recalled that the Russian Federation has unreasonably blocked the website Caliber.Az as well, although it has always covered events in Ukraine impartially.
