Russia completes transfer of troops to Dnipro's left bank

The armed forces of Russia have completed the transfer of units and equipment to the left bank of the Dnieper (Dnipro) River.

The remarks came from the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

“In the Kherson direction today at 05:00, the transfer of Russian troops to the left bank of the Dnieper River was completed. Not a single piece of military equipment and weapons was left on the right bank. Losses of personnel, weapons, military equipment and materiel of the Russian group of troops were not allowed,” he was quoted as saying by TASS.

According to him, all Russian servicemen crossed to the left bank of the Dnieper. Civilians who wished to leave the right-bank part of the Kherson region were assisted in evacuation.

"Formations and military units of the Russian armed forces took up defensive lines and positions prepared in advance in terms of engineering," Konashenkov said.
