Türkiye dives deep with new sub-launched missile set for 2026 mass production VIDEO
Türkiye is set to begin mass production of one of its most advanced strategic munitions - the submarine-launched cruise missile Kapsüllü ATMACA ("Encapsulated ATMACA") - in 2026, marking a significant leap in its domestic defence capabilities.
The missile is a major milestone for Türkiye’s indigenous weapons development, Caliber.Az reports, citing a post by the Turkish defence industry news outlet SavunmaSanayiST.com on X.
Türk savunma sanayiinin geliştirdiği en stratejik mühimmatlardan bir tanesi olan “Kapsüllü ATMACA” Denizaltıdan Atılan Seyir Füzesi, 2026 yılında seri üretime geçecek.

Developed by defence manufacturer Roketsan, the Kapsüllü ATMACA is a submarine-compatible version of the ATMACA anti-ship missile, tailored specifically for deployment from underwater platforms.
Roketsan confirmed the expansion of the missile’s operational use, stating: “ATMACA has been launched from land, sea, and now submarines.”
The submarine-launched version was successfully test-fired in March 2025 from the TCG PREVEZE, demonstrating full operational capability and readiness for deployment. The test marked the first successful use of a Turkish-made cruise missile launched from a submerged platform.
