Armenian PM, Russian president explore strategic agreements in St Petersburg
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan conducted a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg during his two-day official visit on December 21–22.
On December 21, he took part in a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, and the following day attended an informal CIS summit, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
During the summit, President Putin commented on his meeting with Pashinyan, stating, “Our teams have worked from all sides.” He further emphasized the progress achieved between the two countries, adding, “Russia and Armenia have prepared solid documents. Everything is signed, everything is moving forward.”
The most recent bilateral discussions between Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Putin occurred in September 2025 at the Kremlin, when the Armenian leader, alongside other foreign delegation heads, traveled to Moscow to attend the Global Atomic Forum, hosted at the “Atom” Museum at VDNH.
