Russia extends ban on trucks from EU, Britain, Norway, Ukraine
The Russian government has announced that the ban on trucks entering Russia from the European Union, Britain, Norway and Ukraine has been extended indefinitely.
The relevant ban was introduced in 2022 in response to the actions of the EU, which banned the passage of trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates, the government recalled, according to Gazeta.Ru.
The Cabinet noted that the restriction will be in force until the elimination of circumstances, which served as a basis for its introduction.
Exceptions will be made for the transportation of mail, diplomatic mail and humanitarian aid. In addition, the ban will not apply to the passage of technical support trucks designed to transport equipment and sports cars to the venues of sporting events, it added.
