Russia: Farrukh village has nothing to do with Azerbaijan-Armenia border delimitation
15 June 2022 17:23
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said that Azerbaijan's Farrukh village (in liberated Khojaly District) has nothing to do with the Azerbaijani-Armenian border delimitation process.
She made the statement at a weekly briefing on June 15, Baku-based APA news agency reports.
The spokesperson noted that the work of the commission on border delimitation is unrelated to Farrukh village, which is the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers.
"We hope that the start of the work of the commission will help increase trust between Baku and Yerevan and prevent incidents both on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and in the zone of responsibility of the peacekeepers," Zakharova noted.
