Russia hits Ukraine with Iskander-M missile, 72 drones
In the early hours of November 28 , Russian forces attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 72 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types.
Russian troops attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from temporarily occupied Crimea and 72 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerber, and other types, approaching from the directions of Orel, Bryansk, and Millerovo – Russia, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ukrainian Air Force’s Telegram channel.
About 50 of these were Shahed drones. Ukrainian air defences, including aviation, missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces, repelled the assault.
Preliminary reports indicate that by 09:00, Ukrainian air defences had destroyed or suppressed 63 enemy drones of Shahed, Gerber, and other types across northern, southern, and eastern regions.
The strike hit five locations with a ballistic missile and nine strike drones, while debris from downed drones fell at one site.
This latest attack follows a string of recent strikes over the past days.
On November 27, Russia deployed 142 strike drones, most of which were shot down. The Odessa region bore the brunt of the assault, with two residential buildings, an equestrian club, and gas station facilities damaged.
On November 26, Russia struck Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 90 drones, the majority of which were intercepted.
Kyiv came under multiple attacks on November 25, as Russia launched Shahed, Kinzhals, Kalibr, and Iskander-K missiles at the capital. Heating supply to homes in seven districts was partially interrupted.
The strikes caused significant damage in Pechersky and Dnipro districts, hitting high-rise buildings. Seven people were killed, and 20 others were injured during the assaults.
Explosions were reported in Zaporizhzhia on the evening of November 25, triggering fires, including one that engulfed several floors of a residential building.
In total, the attacks damaged at least seven high-rise buildings and several private homes across Zaporizhzhia. A business and a shop also caught fire.
Eighteen people were affected by the assault, with women making up the majority of the injured.
