Russia hits Ukrainian regions with 128 drones, ballistic missiles
Russia conducted another large-scale attack on Ukraine overnight on November 17, deploying waves of attack drones alongside ballistic missiles.
The strike was announced by the Ukrainian Air Force, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
According to the Air Force, Russian forces fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region. In addition, a total of 128 attack drones—Shahed variants and other modified types—were launched from multiple directions, including Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea.
By 09:00, preliminary assessments indicated that Ukrainian defences had shot down or electronically suppressed 91 of the incoming drones across the country’s northern, southern, and eastern regions.
Despite these interceptions, 32 drones managed to strike targets in 15 different settlements. The two ballistic missiles also hit separate locations, bringing the total number of affected sites to 17.
