Russia releases Azerbaijani trainer detained at Armenia’s request VIDEO
A Russian court has released Kamil Zeynalli, an Azerbaijani fitness trainer detained in Moscow at the request of Armenia.
Zeynalli will return to Baku today, according to his lawyer Alekper Garayev, APA reports
The lawyer added that Zeynalli’s condition is currently good.
"Although the Armenian state put Kamil Zeynalli on the federal search and charged him with very serious articles, the Russian state showed goodwill," he added.
On early February 21, the media and social networks reported that Azerbaijani fitness trainer Kamil Zeynalli was detained in Moscow.
Zeynalli posted a video on his Instagram account, where he said that he was detained by police at Moscow's Domodedovo airport and taken to the department, where he was told that he was detained at the request of Armenia, which had put him on an international wanted list.
According to the fitness trainer, he has been wanted since May last year: "This is the third time I am in Russia, but I have been detained only now. I hope for the support of our state structures. At the moment I am in the police station. I hope everything will be settled," he noted.
