“At WTDC-25 in Baku, I will present the achievements of the National Information Dissemination Centre, measures in the field of digital security, and the development of 5G in Malaysia based on a unified network model,” he wrote.
The Minister also emphasised the importance of upcoming meetings scheduled in the Azerbaijani capital.
“During the conference, I will hold a series of bilateral discussions with colleagues to exchange perspectives and best practices, aimed at strengthening cooperation,” Fadzil added.
WTDC-2025 opened in Baku on November 17, marking the first time the event has been held in the CIS region. Organised every four years by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the conference aims to bridge the global digital divide and advance digital transformation.
Held at the Baku Congress Centre, the event also provides a platform for youth engagement in technology. Over 2,000 delegates from 150 countries, including 300 youth representatives, are expected to participate.
ITU member states will adopt a declaration setting development priorities for the next four years, with the CIS region identifying around five key areas. WTDC-2025 will run in Baku until November 28.
