Western Azerbaijan Community considers publishing materials abroad

At a regular meeting of the Board of the Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC) on November 17, it was proposed to translate materials on the history and culture of Western Azerbaijan into foreign languages to promote them internationally.

WAC told domestic media that the initiative was suggested by Mahira Huseynova, chair of the Community of the Keshkend district in the Daryalyaz mahal. 

Huseynova highlighted the importance of legal, organisational, and ideological preparation for the eventual return to Western Azerbaijan in line with international law.

She also recommended holding thematic conferences at universities, switching Western Azerbaijan TV to traditional broadcasting, and preparing materials on the region’s history and culture for wider foreign dissemination.

Aydin Mirzazade, a member of the Milli Majlis, proposed publishing books about prominent figures from Western Azerbaijan who contributed to the country’s development, creating a museum dedicated to the region, and strengthening information and outreach efforts.

The meeting concluded with the definition of specific tasks for WAC activities in the upcoming period and the formation of relevant working groups to implement the decisions.
