Who did Dutch MFA’s Eastern Europe, Central Asia head meet in Azerbaijan?
Caroline Ramaekers, Head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Division at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, concluded her visit to Azerbaijan on November 13–14.
The visit focused on political dialogue, bilateral relations, and exploring opportunities for Netherlands–Azerbaijan cooperation, the Dutch Embassy in Baku posted on X.
During her stay, Ramaekers met with Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, and Anar Ajamov, Acting Director for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She also engaged with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) to discuss investment opportunities for Dutch companies, the business environment in Azerbaijan, and export potential to the Netherlands.
In addition, Ramaekers exchanged views with the Air Transport Agency of Azerbaijan and the Caspian Centre for Energy and Regional Cooperation on regional developments and the Middle Corridor.
At ADA University, she held discussions with students and faculty, while also exploring central Baku and the Old City, observing Azerbaijani heritage, architecture, and traditional tea.
The visit concluded with a networking reception hosted by the Embassy of the Netherlands, bringing together partners for open exchange.
