Russia, Uzbekistan launch joint tactical drills “Khamkorlik-2025”
Joint Russian-Uzbek tactical exercises have kicked off at the “Termez” training ground in Uzbekistan, focusing on counterterrorism operations and urban combat scenarios.
As part of the drills, participating units will practice storming and clearing populated areas held by illegal armed groups, seizing key facilities and positions, and engaging small enemy units, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The core of the Russian military contingent is made up of units from the 201st Military Base of the Central Military District. These include mountain and assault units, mobile electronic warfare teams, operators of reconnaissance UAVs and FPV drones, as well as aircrew from an aviation group flying Mi-24 attack helicopters.
The active phase of the “Khamkorlik-2025” exercises is scheduled to run from July 15 to 21, 2025.
