Russian drone attacks kill one, injure two in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk
During the night of November 21, 2025, Russian drone attacks struck Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, leaving one person dead and two others injured, authorities reported.
Acting head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Vladyslav Haivanenko, wrote on his Telegram channel: “The enemy targeted the Vasilkiv and Pokrovska communities in Synelnykove district. A woman was killed, and two more people were injured.”
According to Haivanenko, a 54-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were hospitalised with moderate injuries. The attacks sparked fires, destroyed three private homes, damaged two more, and also destroyed an outbuilding and a car. A minibus sustained additional damage.
The Nikopol district was also targeted, suffering artillery fire and attacks by FPV drones. Damage was reported in the district centre, as well as the Pokrovska and Marganets communities, affecting a house, an outbuilding, and a gas pipeline.
On the same night, the southern city of Odesa came under Russian drone strikes, injuring five people.
These incidents in Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa follow a major escalation in western Ukraine. On November 19, Ternopil was hit by a large-scale Russian assault involving 476 drones and 48 missiles. The strikes hit two residential high-rise buildings, killing around 26 people, including children, and injuring dozens more.
Ukrainian officials have warned that these attacks caused damage to power grid infrastructure across multiple regions, intensifying energy shortages as the country faces the winter months.
