Russian drone strikes ignite fires, cause injuries in Ukraine's Kharkiv PHOTO
On the night of July 2, Russian forces carried out drone attacks targeting Kharkiv and the Kupiansk district within the Kharkiv region, resulting in extensive fires and injuries, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Ukrainian media reported that in Kharkiv’s Novobavarsky district, one drone struck an abandoned single-story building, igniting a fire that spread over approximately 300 square meters, per Caliber.Az.
Nearby, a service station, an apartment block, administrative and non-residential buildings, as well as a public transport stop, sustained damage. Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, and no casualties were reported in Kharkiv.
Meanwhile, in the Kupiansk district’s Shevchenkivskyi community, drones targeted two agricultural enterprises located in the villages of Borivske and Voloshska Balakliya. The explosions caused warehouses and hay bales to catch fire, leading to at least three injuries.
Emergency responders — including rescuers, police, medical teams, volunteers, and utility workers — were actively engaged at the sites of the attacks.
