Russian drone strikes injure civilians, hit fuel stations in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region Photo
An adult and a 14-year-old teenager were injured following a series of drone attacks by Russian forces in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, according to the State Emergency Service.
Officials said a fire broke out in the village of Taranivka in the Chuhuiv district after a garage and a passenger car were struck. Emergency crews, including a local rescue unit, responded to the scene, Caliber.Az reports.
In a separate series of attacks later the same day, Ukrainian authorities reported that Russian drones targeted multiple fuel stations across the region. Strikes were recorded at five sites, with fires breaking out at two of them—in the Slobodskyi district of Kharkiv and in Chuhuiv.
“Fires broke out at two of them, in the Slobodskyi district of Kharkiv and in Chuhuiv, which were quickly extinguished by State Emergency Service units. The explosions damaged gas station equipment, 10 passenger cars, and a car wash building. Two men—born in 1970 and 1989—were injured in the shelling. One of them sustained injuries and was hospitalized. State Emergency Service units, medical personnel, and law enforcement officers were working at the scene,” the agency said.
Authorities reported that emergency services, medical teams, and police responded to all affected locations. The extent of damage across the multiple strike sites is still being assessed.
