Russian electronic warfare system thwarts drone attack on Nizhnekamsk oil refinery
Authorities in Russia's Nizhnekamsk city have reported that a drone attempted to attack an oil refinery in the city but was intercepted by the Russian electronic warfare system, preventing any casualties or damage.
Ramil Mullin, the head of the Nizhnekamsk municipal district and mayor of Nizhnekamsk, confirmed the incident to TASS, stating that the drone, resembling an aeroplane-type aircraft, was neutralized by the REB system. Fortunately, the drone did not explode, and no injuries or destruction occurred.
Mullin assured that the situation is under control, with all services functioning normally following the interception of the drone.
In addition, he emphasized that there was no fire or damage to the refinery or surrounding areas as a result of the attempted attack.
