Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih injures seven
At least seven people were injured after Russia launched a missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih overnight, local authorities said on July 3.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Administration, said the missile hit a densely built-up residential area between apartment buildings, causing extensive damage to surrounding infrastructure.
"The fires have already been extinguished, but the emergency rescue operation is still ongoing. There is extensive damage, including shattered windows and damaged balconies, while gas and water supplies have been shut off," Vilkul said in a post on social media.
He added that an emergency response centre would be established at a nearby school to provide residents with essential construction materials and to accept applications for municipal financial assistance.
According to the latest official information, seven people were injured in the attack, three of whom were taken to hospital.
