Russian strikes hit southern Ukraine, killing one, injuring several PHOTO
Russian forces carried out attacks overnight in southern Ukraine, targeting Kherson, Donetsk, and Odessa regions, leaving at least seven people injured and one dead.
According to a statement on Telegram by the regional military-civilian administrations in Kherson and Donetsk, Russian strikes hit critical and social infrastructure as well as residential areas.
In Kherson, three apartment blocks and 14 private homes were damaged, resulting in six injuries. In Donetsk, a resident of Holubivka was killed, and another person was injured in Kostiantynivka.
Meanwhile, Odesa regional military administration head Oleh Kiper said, Russian forces launched a large-scale strike on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region despite active Ukrainian air defence.
Local authorities reported damage to building facades, roofs, and windows of administrative buildings, while 11 trucks in a parking lot were also damaged. Two people were reportedly injured and are receiving medical care.
