Second round of Ukraine peace talks ends in Geneva VIDEO
The second round of negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine has concluded in Geneva, Switzerland.
Vladimir Medinsky, Russian presidential aide and head of the delegation, summarised the meeting, saying the talks lasted about two hours and were conducted in multiple formats, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“They were difficult but businesslike. The next meeting will take place in the near future,” Medinsky stated.
The Geneva talks began on February 17 with the first round of trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, which lasted six hours. Participants described the session as "very tense," with no clear progress toward ending the nearly four-year conflict.
These talks are the third round of such meetings in 2026 — the previous two, held in Abu Dhabi on January 23–24 and February 4–5, resulted in an agreement to exchange 314 prisoners.
