Shell announces rejection of Russian oil, even as part of mixtures
On Wednesday, April 27, Shell tightened restrictions on the purchase of Russian oil, saying it would no longer accept refined products with any Russian content, including fuel blends.

After the outbreak of hostilities by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the company announced that it would refuse Russian oil, but accepted products containing less than 50% of fuel from Russia. Now the company has said it will refuse such supplies.
“It is a condition of this application that the goods sold and delivered by the seller will not be produced in the Russian Federation and have not been mixed with any product manufactured in the Russian Federation, the transportation of the goods sold does not begin or does not include transit through this country,” - Reuters reports citing Shell's application for the supply of jet fuel on the Platts trading platform.
