Azerbaijan, Italy look ahead to stronger partnerships in construction sector
The parliamentary connections between Italy and Azerbaijan have been positively influencing the growth of economic and political dialogue between the two nations.
This was highlighted by Ali Ahmadov, the First Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament), during a meeting with members of the Azerbaijan Friendship Group from the Inter-Parliamentary Union of the Italian Parliament, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Ahmadov noted the strong level of cooperation between the two countries in the realms of economics, culture, and politics.
Salvatore Caiata, a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies’ Committee on Environment, Territory, and Public Affairs, further emphasised that reciprocal visits between the heads of state of Italy and Azerbaijan are critical for fostering bilateral relations. He particularly focused on the future of collaboration between the two countries within the construction sector, highlighting that joint ventures in this field would make a significant contribution to the economic advancement of both nations.
Both parties expressed optimism that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Italy would continue to grow, with new opportunities for cooperation emerging in the future.
The meeting was attended by Azer Kerimli, head of the working group for Azerbaijan-Italy interparliamentary relations, along with other officials.
