"Shusha - the cultural capital of the Islamic world 2024" to officially open in May
The official opening ceremony of the "Shusha - the cultural capital of the Islamic world 2024" will be held in May.
Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov approved the relevant Action Plan regarding the ceremony, Caliber.Az reports.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the special representative office of the President in Shusha district, and the Shusha City State Reserve were given instructions in this regard.
The official closing ceremony of the "Shusha – the cultural capital of the Islamic World-2024" will be held in December.
Moreover, visits of leading media representatives of the Islamic world will be organized in Shusha during 2024 under the Action Plan.
Also within the framework of the Action Plan, a network of cultural capitals of Islamic countries will be created this year, the first meeting within the framework of which will be held in Shusha.
In addition, an exhibition of space images of territories liberated from occupation, including the city of Shusha, will be held in Azerbaijan. The exhibition will also talk about the cultural heritage of Shusha city and Islamic countries in general.
According to the action plan, the book "Economy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Countries", the special postage stamp "Shusha - Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2024" and relevant Internet resources will be presented in Azerbaijan in 2024.
The Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Shusha State Reserve Department and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication have been identified as the executors of the plan.
