SOCAR president meets with Uzbekistan’s deputy energy minister

President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf has received a delegation headed by First Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhadjaev.

During the meeting on Aug. 30, the particular importance of the state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan in June this year was highlighted is in terms of developing cooperation between the two countries, Caliber.Az informs, citing SOCAR’s official statement.

The parties noted the strategic importance of the Roadmap signed between SOCAR and the Uzbek national energy company Uzbekneftegaz in July this year, and the work done in this direction. They also shared views on the possibilities of cooperation in the oil and gas sector, trade in oil and petrochemical products, the use of digital and innovative technologies, labour protection and safety, exchange of experience and other issues of mutual interest.
