Sochi meeting fiasco for Armenia, says Armenian political analyst
The trilateral meeting of Russian, Azerbaijani, and Armenian leaders in Sochi is another diplomatic fiasco for Armenia, according to Armenian political scientist and orientalist Sergey Melkonyan.
“The meeting in Sochi has ended. The Kremlin website published a statement following the meeting:
There is no mention of Karabakh in the text. None. Even in the section where the peacekeeping contingent is deployed.
There is no mention of the return of prisoners. This is apparently included in the "bloc of humanitarian issues."
And most importantly, there are no agreements on the exit of Azerbaijanis from the territories of Armenia (about 220 sq. km),” Melkonyan wrote, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.
According to him, nothing that comes from the interests of Armenia is reflected in the document.
