South Korea announces fresh supply of equipment for Ukraine

South Korea is planning to provide Ukraine with more mine-clearing equipment.

Yonhap reports with reference to Principal Deputy National Security Adviser Kim Tae-hyo.

According to the news agency, a new security and humanitarian assistance package was announced after a meeting between South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“We plan to expand assistance in the form of mine detectors and mine-clearing equipment, as Ukraine’s need for them is desperately high... We will expand support for military supplies, and in the medium to long term, plan and develop cooperation in defense projects between South Korea and Ukraine,” Principal Deputy National Security Adviser Kim Tae-hyo said.
