Speaker: Launch of Pakistan-Azerbaijan direct flights important event

The launch of direct flights between Pakistan and Azerbaijan is an important sign of cooperation in terms of expanding tourism and people-to-people contacts.

The remarks came from Speaker of the Senate of Pakistan Mohammad Sadiq Sanjrani on June 5, Report informs.

Sanjrani highlighted Baku's international support for Pakistan in his comments.

"Azerbaijan's support for Pakistan's position on Kashmir is commendable," Sanjrani said.

The speaker of the Senate added that Pakistan wants to expand the CPEC project (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) in Central Asia. The project aimed at increasing regional trade relations will be extended to Central Asia, including Azerbaijan through the Pakistani port city of Gwadar.
