Spokeswoman: Construction of Horadiz-Aghband railway 45 per cent complete in Azerbaijan
Sanubar Nazarova, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (AYD) spokeswoman has said that the construction of the Horadiz-Aghband railroad line is 45 per cent complete.
She noted that railway tracks have been laid up to the 72nd kilometre of the road, Report informs.
"Unlike the Barda-Aghdam project, the section where the Horadiz-Aghband railway line is being built has a complex relief," Nazarova added.
To recap, the Horadiz-Aghband railway line, laid by the President of the country in February 2021, has an axis length of 110.4 km. The project includes the construction of 9 stations (Horadiz, Marjanli, Mahmudlu, Sultanli, Gumlag, Hakari, Minjivan, Bartaz, and Aghband), three tunnels, 41 bridges, three galleries (a structure in the mountainous area, serving for protection from avalanches and rockfalls - ed.), seven overpasses, and a total of about 500 artificial engineering structures.
