Suspected terrorist detained on Turkish-Syrian border

The Turkish military has captured a suspected member of the jihadist group Islamic State trying to enter Sanliurfa Province's Ceylanpinar District from the territory of Syria.

The man was detained on the basis of intelligence, Anadolu Agency reports.

The military has stepped up security measures on the border with the Arab state.

The detainee was handed over to the Ceylanpinar Gendarmerie Department.
