Far-right Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan, leader of the Hard Line party, burned a Quran in front of a mosque in the Danish capital.
Standing surrounded by police, the politician held a rally in a helmet in front of a mosque immediately after the end of Friday prayers in the Dortheavej district of Copenhagen. The man tried to draw attention to himself by waving a burning book, however, according to the news agency, Muslims reacted calmly to the provocation, Turkish news agency TRT reports.
It is reported that before the action, the police stopped a group of young people with fire extinguishers and water.
