"Taghiyev: Oil" premieres at Heydar Aliyev Centre Honoring legacy of philanthropy in Azerbaijan
The premiere of the feature film “Taghiyev: Oil”, which chronicles the life and contributions of prominent philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev, took place at the Heydar Aliyev Centre on October 4.
The event was attended by the project's head and producer, Arzu Aliyeva, Heydar Aliyev, as well as members of the Milli Majlis and notable figures from the realms of science and culture, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Produced by the Baku Media Centre with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and the Cinema Agency, the film highlights significant milestones in Taghiyev's life, including his establishment of the first special school for girls in the Muslim East and his pivotal role in advancing Azerbaijan's oil industry and urban infrastructure in Baku.
Prior to the screening, attendees explored a foyer exhibit showcasing costumes and historical equipment used in the film.
The film's creative team includes General Producer Arzu Aliyeva, Producer Orman Aliyev, Director Zaur Gasimli, and scriptwriters Ismail Iman, Asif Isgandarli, and Zaur Gasimli.
Cinematography was handled by Vladimir Artemiev, with art direction by Sabuhi Atababayev, costume design by Vusal Rahim, and music composed by Etibar Asadli.
Key sponsors of the production included NEQSOL Holding, Kapital Bank, Bakcell, and Norm.
