Tehran to launch hotline to help residents affected by war
Authorities in Tehran plan to launch a new hotline, 1811, to assist residents affected by the consequences of the ongoing conflict.
According to Fars News Agency, citing members of the Tehran City Council, the service will allow residents of the Iranian capital to request help and report problems related to war-related damage and disruptions.
Officials said the hotline will provide a range of support services. Residents will be able to receive psychological counselling and support, as well as undergo psychosocial screening in hotels where people affected by the conflict are currently being accommodated.
The service will also enable residents to request street-cleaning operations, report and assess damage to homes and vehicles, and apply for temporary accommodation or emergency housing.
City authorities said the introduction of the 1811 hotline is intended to accelerate assistance and improve coordination of support measures for people in Tehran who have been affected by the consequences of the war.
