Three injured in drone attack on Russia’s Volgograd region
Three people, including a child, were injured in a drone attack in Russia’s Volgograd region, Governor Andrei Bocharov said.
“A residential home belonging to a large family in the Yamy farmstead of the Sredneakhtubinsky district was severely damaged, and a 12-year-old boy has been hospitalised. In the Krasnoarmeysky district, an 18-year-old teenager and a woman have also been hospitalised. There is no threat to the lives of all three injured,” Bocharov was quoted as saying on February 13 via the Telegram channel of the Volgograd regional government.
The governor also reported that debris from intercepted drones fell on the premises of several industrial facilities in both the city and the surrounding region.
“Emergency services and municipal authorities have been instructed to assess the extent of the damage, deal with the aftermath, assist those affected, and prepare temporary accommodation centres,” Bocharov added.
Earlier, during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, Bocharov said that a missile attack on the region had been repelled. The falling debris caused a fire, and due to the threat of detonation, an evacuation was declared in the settlement of Kotluban. By the evening of the same day, residents were permitted to return to their homes.
