Trump threatens further strikes on Iran’s infrastructure
U.S. President Donald Trump warned that American forces could escalate attacks against Iran, declaring that key infrastructure could be targeted next.
“Our Military, the greatest and most powerful [by far!] anywhere in the World, hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran. Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants! New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST!” Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social, Caliber.Az reports.
The statement came after reports that one of Iran’s tallest bridges was struck during military action near the city of Karaj. Authorities said multiple areas were targeted and that several people were injured.
According to a statement cited by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, U.S. and Israeli forces carried out strikes in several areas around Azimeh in Karaj. One of the reported strikes hit the B1 bridge, described as one of the highest bridges in the country.
