Turkic World Week culminates in unanimous Khankandi Declaration
Participants in the Turkic World Week, held to mark the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, have unanimously adopted the Khankandi Declaration, setting out key areas for future cooperation among Turkic states.
The declaration identifies prospective areas of collaboration in science, education, language, culture, and the preservation of the shared historical heritage of the Turkic world, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The document also expresses appreciation to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for initiating the events commemorating the centenary of the First Turkological Congress, for his attention to strengthening cooperation among Turkic states, and for hosting the week's events in Baku and Khankandi.
In addition, the participants extended their gratitude to the leaders of the Turkic states for their congratulatory messages sent on the occasion.
