Thus, the number of AKSUNGUR UAVs in service with the Turkish army reached 10 on May 20, Caliber.Az reports, citing SavunmaSanayiST.com on Twitter.

TUSAŞ has increased its production capacity. What once was a production of one drone in 3 months is one per month today. It is planned to produce two AKSUNGUR UAVs per month in a short time.

According to the report, it is expected that in the near future the AKSUNGUR UAV, actively used by the Turkish navy, will be delivered to Kyrgyzstan and Angola.

The UAV is equipped with two Turkish PD-170 Dual Turbo Diesel turboprop engines with an HP 170 power each. Cruise speed is declared at 250 km/h, service ceiling - 7600 metres, maximum altitude - 12100 metres, flight duration - more than 50 hours.

The payload is 750 kg, and six hardpoints accommodate weapons. The drone is capable of using the entire arsenal of high-precision weapons developed by Turkish companies specifically for UAVs.

AKSUNGUR has an installed Turkish-made satellite communications system, in the variant for maritime patrols or reconnaissance, it is equipped with an optoelectronic surveillance system, a camera, radar, and a laser guidance system.
