The Turkish defence company STM plans to build a warship for the Azerbaijani Navy.
The company has developed a project of STM-MPAC Multi-Purpose Attack Craft for this purpose, APA reports.
The project has already been proposed to the Azerbaijani Navy. If accepted, then within 3 years the ship can be seen in the navy fleet of Azerbaijan. The cost of the vessel is said to be estimated at an average of $100 million.
STM-MPAC is a monohull platform that is designed to perform anti-surface and anti-air warfare along with patrol duties in shallow waters and open seas under heavy weather conditions.
The craft is also capable of operating at high speeds according to its optimized effective hull form and main propulsion system configuration.
